Seems like about half of the comments I’ve left on WordPress-powered blogs running Akismet lately have been diverted into the spam queue. Maybe it knows something I don’t, but I’ll just put out a friendly reminder to check your spam folder every now and then for legitimate comments.

Took the first half of the month off, didn’t do terribly much during the second half of the month, and the old world kept on spinning. Visits were up 275 percent from the same period last year, uniques up 469 percent and page views up 123 percent. The stats, then, from Google Analytics and Feedburner. [...]

Back from a brilliant two-week vacation. Tanned, rested, free from snowmobile-related injuries, etc. I also have a rare and much-in-demand photo of your humble host to share. This is how a native Floridian prepares for any temperature below 80 degrees fahrenheit:
