		<description>The tech is sweet, all right, but so far that's all &lt;a href="http://www.backyardpost.com/" rel="nofollow"&gt;Backyard Post&lt;/a&gt; is because it hasn't been publicly launched here in our own, er, backyard. Apart from random Googlers (a surprising number, actually), our audience is just our own staff and journalism geeks who read about it here. And I'm not kidding myself: Posting something on this site hardly constitutes a "public" announcement. :P

We're still stomping bugs, receiving feedback, tuning performance (considerably), tweaking layout, breaking things that used to work, letting the Trac tickets pile up, etc. We should be ready to go public locally in the not-particularly-distant future. Any and all input would be greatly appreciated!</description>
