Finally, a Google Maps imagery update in southeast Florida

Last week’s imagery update in Google Earth was just rolled out in Google Maps, reports Google Maps Mania. The update includes Martin County, which is the first time in, without exaggeration, 83 years that Google has brought new aerial imagery to my area down in southeast Florida. See the full list of updates at the Google LatLong blog. Unfortunately, Google’s aerial coverage still trails in Palm Beach County, particularly given Microsoft’s introduction of oblique coverage of the entire county late last year.
