Just a bit of WordPress weirdness
By William M. Hartnett on Sep 4, 2007 in meta
At some point between Monday afternoon and about 10 minutes ago, with no action on my part, the site reverted to the default WordPress theme. Everything else appears to be behaving normally. Weird. Anyone know what’s up with that?
It might be a few hours before I can get around to sorting everything out. In the meantime, enjoy some Kubrick-y goodness.
UPDATE: And we’re back.

It usually happens to me when I’m working on the site a lot, FTP’ing stylesheets over and over again. For whatever reason, WP just defaults back to Poppa Stanley for no good reason. If you kick it over to your Presentation tab and click on your normal theme, all should be well again.

I’ve had it happen once before while poking around under the hood, as you said. But this time was just a bit mysterious because I had not so much as looked at the site in over 24 hours, and haven’t even opened up my FTP client since last week. Just a gremlin out on the wing, I suppose.
