Many, many months before I owned a single piece of furniture after graduating from college, I plunked down serious plastic for a fairly dear Giant road bike and an even more expensive, and even harder to justify, Specialized mountain bike. But to properly, if belatedly, celebrate this year’s wide-open, favorite-less Tour de France, only one bike from my collection would do: The Schwinn Sting-Ray “Grey Ghost.” Check it out after the jump. Sorry for the delay in approving and responding to your question. I’ve been on vacation and out of touch.
I bought the bike new several years ago, when Schwinn sold reproductions of some of their classic bikes. I don’t know if it was a limited edition or if they’re still selling them, though.
