Mobile porn and an outstanding NYT headline

> Bankruptcy Filing May Delay Pornography on Cellphones (NYT)
Because I know you’ve been wondering. Really, did you ever think you’d see a headline in The New York Times that included the words “bankruptcy,” pornography” and “cellphones” in such close proximity? And all for a six-paragraph story about Amp’d Mobile’s bankruptcy.
The final line actually rivals the quality of the headline: “People who are determined to download pornography to their cellphones can do so today, but it must be done from third-party Web sites designed for mobile phones.” It works on so many levels. Informative if you’re a bit clueless, hilariously dry if you’ve ever been online, mobile or otherwise, and frustratingly non-specific if you’re technically challenged but really, really desperate to see a bit of porn on a very tiny screen.
I’m surprised there hasn’t been more talk about the iPhone’s impact on porn, what with it promising to bring the non-watered down Internet to your phone and all. Mobile phone etiquette could get a whole lot trickier.
