Read the post, do something about it

No need to write my own post on the implications for newspapers of Adrian Holovaty’s latest project because Matt Waite already said what I was thinking: Why you, newspaper.com, need to fear this. Seriously, go read it. Then share it with your colleagues and editors. Then do something about it, for Pete’s sake. As Matt says:
“So, as I see it, you can stand around and let EveryBlock become the news equivalent of Craigslist, or you can do something about it. Me? I’m trying to do something about it.”
We’re trying to do something about it over in our corner of the Sunshine State, too. More and more newsrooms are coming around on this point. If you’re in one that hasn’t, time to wake up and get moving.
