Google Analytics back, sorta

As Ross points out in the comments to my last post on Google Analytics’ downtime, it looks like things are back up now. Kind of. The old interface is showing data for today, but still isn’t displaying anything from 4 p.m. to midnight Tuesday. And the new interface isn’t showing anything today. Just looking for a little feedback, Google. Twenty-four hours is a long time to leave your users totally in the dark, even if the downtime wasn’t affecting everyone.

Speaking of Google, don’t miss today’s acquisition news.

EDIT 1: Everything’s looking kool and the gang in the old GA interface. Data from yesterday’s blank spot is up, and today’s stats are still looking OK. Still nothing in the new interface, though.

EDIT 2: And now Tuesday’s data is back in the new interface, though it looks like it’s still a few hours behind the old interface when it comes to today’s numbers.

We have data for our site including the period where no data was previously being reported.

I dug up several other blogs that reported the same issue:

    http://fractalenlightenment.blogspot.com/2007/05/google-analytics-down-for-11-hours.html
    http://startupsquad.com/2007/05/23/its-21-hours-and-google-analytics-is-still-not-updating/

However, I’m not using the new Beta. That thing is a bug-ridden piece of crap.

We had lost over 24 hours of data but most of it is coming back. Additionally, I dug-up several other blogs that reported the same issue:

    http://fractalenlightenment.blogspot.com/2007/05/google-analytics-down-for-11-hours.html

However, I’m still using the old interface. The new beta is complete and utter crap.

Eh, I like the new interface, except the disappearance of hourly graphs and the same line graph spanning every single darn report. Try out W3Counter some time… real-time reports unlike Google’s delayed ones, it’s free, and it’s always good to have multiple sources of stats in case one dies on you like this…

Yeah, I’ll be a lot happier with the new interface when the hourly charts return, which Google is promising. In the meantime, I’ll have a look at W3Counter.
