Hot 787 action for the aviation nerds
By William M. Hartnett on May 22, 2007 in geekery
Boeing started final assembly of the largely composite 787 on Monday, which is a totally awesome milestone if, like me, you’re an aviation geek. If, like pretty much everyone else on the planet, you’re not an aviation geek, then final assembly of the 787 isn’t so much a milestone as much as it is yet another bizarrely off-topic blog post on a site ostensibly about newspapers, journalism and my cats.
The Seattle P-I has a good story, and The Seattle Times, too. Boeing’s press release has some good photos, and this blog has very cool high-resolution (3600 x 2400) versions of the same pictures, and loads more awesomely obsessive info about the 787.
That is all.
