I’m outraged not by the Los Angeles Zoo’s $4,500 expenditure on a feng shui consultant while building a new $7.4 million enclosure for three “blue-faced monkeys with flowing California blond hair,” but by the fact that we Floridians allowed such an admirable confluence of fiscal wastefulness and mystical nonsense to occur outside our state. Come on Floridians, we’ve got to do better! Let’s all put on our astro-diapers and try extra hard this week to be the country’s most embarrassing state.
