Big margin on campus

>Gannett buys UCF student newspaper (Orlando Sentinel)
Coming in the wake of its purchase of the FSU student paper, I can conclude only that the for-profit off-campus student-run public university newspaper is a played out segment of the media acquisition market. My proposal: For-profit high school newspapers. I, for one, would have fully embraced the Gannett Information Center concept while editor of the Bayshore High School Paw Print from 1994 to 1996. And I would have been relentless about cost-cutting, starting with my freshman-year adviser, who one quarter gave me a totally unwarranted C, the only blemish to date on my otherwise impeccable journalism career.
